{J'adore paris!}

finally.... i'm gonna share our Paris trip with y'all. it was "fantastique"! we could see l'arc de triumph from our hotel & le tour eiffel too..... it was absolutely beautiful {hence all of the pics of them....}. paris is tres cher {expensive} but beautiful & bargains were to be had- trust me!!!!

*****

joey right in front of l'arc de triumph
{which is sorta like our tomb of the unknown soldier}

*****

and... did i mention that our actual anniversary is on bastille day? that is the french national independence day {like our july 4th}. so they set off a few fireworks next to the eiffel tower for us. no- really it was the biggest fireworks show that we had ever seen!!!! and all for us- ha ha.

*****

the flowers were beautiful there too....

*****

saint chapel was breathtaking...

*****

the louvre was.... huge! joey was completely enamored by the size of it & the paintings of jesus- so spectacular!

*****

outside the sacre coeur were these... "living statues". these guys stay out there all day.

i loved the bronze one too!

*****

... and we were never too far away from wagram {our little town}- ha ha!!!

*****

notre dame was huge & breathtaking!
{i'm not as good as joey at doing "impromptu poses"}

{... ha ha}

*****

{the corner of notre dame- it was just gorgeous at every angle!!}

****

and the seine river winds through the city perfectly!! i loved every minute of our stay!!!

*****

there were local flower & produce markets all around the city.... that were to die for!!!

*****

but... the flea markets were..... the best part!!!!!!
{Oh how i wish that i could have taken these chairs home in my suitcase......}

*****

joey said he couldn't believe that i wanted to go "junking" in paris! but y'all know me... i did!

*****

i found some precious treasures like: this toast tray that i had been searching for since we got to london...

*****

and this bottle rack basket with the french milk bottles- which will look spectacular with flowers in it!!! {the coke bottle is from cooner- she went out junking here while i was away}

*****

.... and I searched in the $1.00 euro box & found some lego guys for you know who???

*****

{i ended up getting 13 guys for $4 euros- score!!!!!!!}

*****

and some french polly pockets
{complete with little black beret hat & paint smocks}- she loved them!!!

*****

and i found this little precious earring tree- isn't it frenchy? I just knew that my prissy would love it- and she did!!!!

*****

now this picture of me is a wee bit scary {we had been out all day long}. but i had to mention the little brown bag in the photo. it's from l'masion du chocolat {house of chocolate}- which was wonderful!!!! they pride themselves on all things chocolate & yummy!!!

*****

and joey indulged in some of there {pricey} hot chocolate which we agreed was the best ever!!!

*****

it was truly the trip of a lifetime & i will cherish the memories that we made forever!!! {and i want to mention that we were able to face time the kiddos everyday around 5pm. - that made the trip so much more enjoyable. we could see them & let them see part of the cities too. a-man is not a phone talker- so he just set in front of the computer & showed us his latest lego creation. we knew they were being taken care of very well..... thank you cooner & papaw!!!!!!!}. it has been well over a month since our trip.... and i still feel rejuvenated! if you get the opportunity to get away with your man- go!!! you will not regret it......

*****

and if you go to paris- eat one of these- croissant du chocolate. this picture is me looking like there is a choice between chocolate & veggie tarts..... there is not!!!! we have been missing the fancy french treats around here & our kiddos wanted something yummy last night... so we improvised & came up with our own version of the chocolate croissant". we ate these scrumptious morsels nearly every morning, noon, & night while we were there...... i {heart} paris!!!!!

*****

all you need is:
1 package of large croissants & some chocolate chips {i used milk chocolate}

*****

next- roll out the croissants then put the chips on one end & roll them up like normal.

*****

like this- i pinched the ends so that the yummy goodness wouldn't get away!!

*****

then bake as usual & enjoy!!
{i didn't get an actual picture of us eating them.... we couldn't wait- blame the french!!!!}

*****

au revoir mes amis!!!!
